Berks County Division I field hockey update for the 2023 season

A total of 29 Berks County alumni were on Division I field hockey rosters this season. Here is how each player performed during the 2023 season, according to statistics published on school websites:

Sarah Althouse, Bucknell: Altus, a freshman goalie from Muhlenberg, played in all 17 games, making 16 starts for the Bisons (3-3 Patriot League, 8-9) and finishing with 84 saves, a 1.52 goals-against average and a .757 save percentage. . I posted three closings.

Katherine Arentz, Temple: Arentz, a freshman linebacker from Wilson, played in 19 games for the Owls (4-3 Big East, 11-8).

Caitlin Bailey, American: Bailey, a junior defender/midfielder from Wilson, started all 19 games for the Eagles (6-0 Patriot League, 11-8), who won the Patriot League regular season and tournament titles and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Sarah Beers, James Madison: Beers, a senior defenseman from Ollie, scored two goals in 17 games, 16 of which were starts, for the Dukes (5-12).

Bill Pressler, Connecticut: Pressler, a graduate student midfielder from Berks Catholic, has three goals, one game-winner, two assists and two defensive blocks in 18 games, all starts, for the Huskies (2-5 Big East, 5-13).

Julia Pressler, Connecticut: Pressler, a sophomore from Berks Catholic, scored six goals, one of them a game-winner, in 17 games, 10 of them starts, for the Huskies (2-5 Big East, 5-13). She was named to the NFHCA Mid-East Region Second Team.

Mallory Pozydlowski St. Joseph: Buzydlowski, a freshman midfielder from Berks Catholic, has not appeared in a game for the Hawks (7-0 Atlantic 10, 16-5), who won the Atlantic 10 regular season and tournament titles and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Makayla Karahalli, Ohio State: Karahalli, a sophomore from Twin Valley, had one assist in six games for the Buckeyes (4-4 Big Ten, 14-6).

Kylie Connor, Miami (Ohio): Connor, a senior linebacker from Wilson, had one defensive tackle in 23 games, two of which were starts, for the RedHawks (6-1 MAC, 15-8), who won the Mid-American Conference championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Erika Kolb, Saint Joseph: Kolb, a freshman forward from Wilson, was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookies after scoring seven goals, including a game-winner, in 21 games, one of which was a start, for the Hawks (7-0 A-10, 16-5). Saint Joseph’s won the Atlantic 10 regular season and tournament titles and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Katelyn Doolin, Michigan State: Dulin, a freshman midfielder from Boyertown, appeared in nine games, two of which were starts for the Spartans (1-7 Big Ten, 4-12).

Natalie Foster, Drexel: Foster, a sophomore from Twin Valley, was named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association second team. She scored 10 goals, two of them game-winners, and nine assists for a team-high 29 points in 20 games, all starts, for the Dragons (4-2 CAA.14-6).

Sophia Gladue, Pennsylvania: Gladieux, a senior forward from Oley Valley, was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. She had a team-high 21 goals, six of them game-winners, and three assists for 45 points in 17 games, all starts, for the Nittany Lions (4-4 Big Ten, 9-8). She was selected to the All-Big Ten first team and NFHCA All-Eastern Region first team for the fourth consecutive season.

Sidney Grimm, University of Massachusetts Lowell: Grimm, a junior forward from Berks Catholic, has one goal, a game-winner, in 17 games for the Riverhawks (7-1 America East, 14-4).

Peyton Halsey, Northwestern: Halsey, a graduate student midfielder/forward from Exeter, was named to the All-Big Ten first team. She scored a team-high 13 goals, six of them game-winners, and 10 assists to go with 36 points in 23 games, all as a starter, for the Wildcats (8-0, 21-2), who won the grand slam. Ten regular season and tournament titles and was national runner-up. She was also selected to the NCAA All-Tournament team and first team for the NFHCA West Region.

Maddie Herb, Connecticut: Herb, a junior forward from Wilson, had one goal, a game-winner and three assists in 18 games, all starts, for the Huskies (2-5 Big East, 5-13).

Emily Horace, American: Horace, a senior defenseman from Wilson, played in 12 games, 10 as a starter, for the Eagles (6-0 Patriot League, 11-8), who won the Patriot League regular season and tournament titles and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Morgan Kaufman, Connecticut: Coffman, a senior midfielder from Wilson, played in one game for the Huskies (2-5 Big East, 5-13).

Aaliyah Linfoot, Colgate: Linfoot, a senior forward from Exeter, had one assist in 14 games, 13 starts, for the Raiders (0-6 Patriot League, 3-14).

Kayla Maciejewski, Lock Haven: Maciejewski, a sophomore from Oley Valley, played in 12 games for the Bald Eagles (2-5 Atlantic 10, 5-12).

Ella Melly, Saint Francis: Miley, a senior midfielder from Exeter, played in 17 games, all starts, for the Red Flash (5-2 Northeast Conference, 10-8).

Carly Service, Miami (Ohio): Service, a junior midfielder from Twin Valley, was named to the All-Mid American Conference second team after recording nine goals and eight assists in 23 games, 21 of which were starts, for the RedHawks (6-1 MAC, 15-8). Who won the MAC Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Emma Staron, Albany: Staron, a freshman midfielder/linebacker from Wilson, played in 10 games for the Great Danes (8-1 America East, 13-6).

Sidney President, UMass Lowell: Stoll, a freshman linebacker from Wilson, played in one game for the Riverhawks (7-1 America East, 14-4).

Aubrey Oba, Louisville: Auba, a returning freshman from Berks Catholic, has not appeared in a game for the Cardinals (3-3 ACC, 15-7), who have qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

Brian Underwood, American: Underwood, a senior goalie from Wilson, was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, first-team Academic All-Patriot League and second-team All-Patriot League. She also served on the NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Region II Team. It is the third year in a row that she has received all-district honors. She played in 19 games, all starts, and finished with 90 saves, a 1.24 goals-against average and a .783 save percentage for the Eagles (6-0 Patriot League, 11-8), who won the Patriot League regular season and championship game. Titles and qualification for the NCAA Tournament. She also posted four shutouts. She has a 3.95 GPA and will graduate in the spring with a degree in Business and Entertainment with an emphasis in Music Performance.

Regan Underwood, Freedom: Underwood, a senior midfielder/linebacker from Wilson, was named to the All-Big East first team after recording five goals, two of them game-winners, and six assists in 20 games, all starts, for the Flames (7-0 Big East, 17-3), which won the Big East regular season title and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. She was named to the NFHCA South Region Second Team.

Titi Williamson, Delaware: Williamson, a freshman returning from Ollie Valley, played in 14 games, eight starts, for the Blue Hens (3-3 CAA, 8-9).

Emma Winter, Saint Joseph: Winther, a sophomore from Twin Valley, played in 21 games, four starts, for the Hawks (7-0, 16-5), who won the Atlantic 10 regular-season and tournament titles and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.
