Allison Canfield rose to the top of Jamestown High School’s all-time 3-pointers list on Tuesday.

She did it in record-breaking fashion.

Canfield tied the Red Raiders’ single-game record with nine 3-pointers en route to a career-high 39 points as Jamestown beat Gowanda 66-37 at McElrath Gymasium.

Canfield made three 3-pointers during an 11-4 first quarter run and added three more in the second quarter as the Red Raiders built a 35-12 halftime lead.

After the break, Canfield made two more 3-pointers in the third quarter and her final two in the fourth.

The senior also had eight steals and grabbed six rebounds. Sophomore Anna Enquist added 10 points and seven rebounds. Payton Gibbs had five rebounds and eight steals. Ryan Leeper also had six rebounds in the win.

Canfield’s nine 3-pointers gave her 151 career points, six more than third-place Erin Cunningham and one behind second-place Annie Campion. Marley Drake is the all-time leader with 262.

Corinna John led the Panthers with 19 points, including five 3-pointers.

ELLERY — Claire Price scored 5 points and Brianna Cornell added 4 points during a 13-4 fourth quarter as Maple Grove rolled past Silver Creek for a 31-26 Division II West win.

The price ended at 11 pips. Rebecca Roberts scored 7 points and seven rebounds. Cornell had 6 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Dragons (3-1, 1-1).

Maddie Blair led the Black Knights (2-3, 0-2) with 7 points and Lucille Jimmerson had 6.

NYWEIDE NETS CAREER HIGH

CLYMER — Ava Nyweide scored 19 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the field in the first quarter and finished with 30 points to outpace Chautauqua Lake’s Clymer 68-27 in the Section 2 West opener for both teams.

Alexis Knickers added 15 points, six rebounds, five steals, three assists and two blocked shots, while Eli Budamir had 11 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Pirates (3-0, 1-0).

Taylor Donato led the Eagles (1-2, 0-1) with 9 points and six rebounds, while Elise Riedesel had 6 points and six rebounds.

The Bears are almost upset with Lancaster

LANCASTER — Madison Francis scored 46 points, including 9 in a pair of overtime periods, as Lancaster topped Frewsburg 79-73 in nonleague play.

Francis, a returning first-team Class AA all-state player ranked among the top 10 players in the nation for the 2025 girls’ class by numerous publications, made 21 field goals and four free throws to lead the Legends. Grace Harrington added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and McKenna Corcoran scored 11 points.

Lancaster (2-0) led 13-10 after the first quarter, but Frewsburg outscored the hosts 17-10 in the second quarter to take a 27-23 lead into halftime.

Jaden Trocchi led the Bears (3-2) with 24 points, eight assists and seven steals. Tegan Trocchi had 21 points and nine rebounds. Ava Jimerson scored 17 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

DEPEW – Randolph dominated the second quarter 17-9 and beat non-league Depew 51-36.

Bria Beaver added 14 points, Ellie Pearson had 11 points, Maddie McIntyre had 10 points, and Lauren Cotter had 11 rebounds for the Trojans (1-3).

Kaitlyn Horton led the Panthers (0-5) with 11 points and eight rebounds. Kylie Morgan had 8 points and three assists. Tess Flekkema had six rebounds.

Salamanca – Four players scored in double figures for Salamanca as the Warriors beat Cattaraugus-Little Valley 75-14.

Leslie McComber led Salamanca with 22 points, while Karina Cross scored 13 points, and Mackenzie Cross and Bella Wolf scored 12 points each. The Warriors led 30-5 after the first quarter and 44-7 at halftime.

Cade Benzel led the Timberwolves (0-3) with 7 points.

Dunkirk drops Falconer

Dunkirk – Behind a decisive second half, Dunkirk pulled away from Falconer for a 46-30 non-league win.

Imaladi Pacheco led the Marauders (3-0, 2-0) with 19 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Molly DeCara added 12 points and six assists. Sheila Karen had 9 points, four boards and two steals.

The Golden Falcons (1-4, 0-4) led 16-15 at halftime, but Dunkirk outscored the Falconers 31-14 after the break.

Augustine Krenzer was the Golden Falcons’ top scorer with 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Cougars trim cheetahs

SOUTH DAYTON — Emily Anderson and Andrea Johnson provided a powerful punch to lead Cassadaga Valley to a 57-45 nonleague win over Pine Valley.

Anderson scored 21 points to go with six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Johnson added 19 points. Hailey Anderson had eight rebounds and Mia Fanara added five boards.

For Pine Valley, Danielle West scored 25 points and Alyssa West scored 10 points.
