The Last of Us fans have been having a good time lately with the latest HBO TV series and the first part of the remake, but what about the alleged third game in the saga? Here’s everything to know about The Last of Part 3, including rumors and leaks.

The Last of Us Part II was one of the most anticipated games of the past decade, born out of the massive popularity and acclaim that the first game brought.

While some fans disliked the sequel’s story, many saw it as a worthwhile addition to what is considered one of the best games ever made.

The second match saw Ellie seeking revenge for Joel’s death, as well as dealing with her relationship with her friend Dina. Those who have played the game will know that a lot has been left open, with Ellie allowing Abby to live and Dina disappearing after Ellie ignored her pleas to stay.

There’s definitely room for a sequel, and here are the latest details on the potential sequel.

Are there any rumors and leaks for The Last of Us Part 3?

in January 2023The creator of the first part, and the creative director of the second part, Neil Druckmann, discussed the possibility of the third part during a period Buzzfeed interview says:

“Our process is the same as when we did this , which is that if we can come up with a compelling story that has this universal message and statement about love – just as the first and second games did – then we will tell that story. If we can’t come up with something, we have a very strong ending with And that will be the end.”

according to Sorry leaksa reliable information leaker, Naughty Dog is actively working on several projects at the moment, including The Last of Us Part III: “The outlines of the script are ready, but the studio is busy developing the above-mentioned projects.”

But they confirm what we already know, saying: “It is possible that development will begin faster than expected because… [the] Studio expansion.”

It seems inevitable that a third game will touch on Ellie’s story, perhaps revolving around her relationship with Dina. Abby’s participation won’t be guaranteed, but Ellie could still change her mind about her compassionate behavior at the end of Part 2.

The fact that Druckmann has taken the time to plan the third installment is very good news for fans of the series. In fact, in an interview with Hollywood Reporter Ahead of the TV series’ premiere, Druckmann once again teased that a third installment could be on the way.

“I think there are more stories to be told,” Druckmann said, while also promising not to fall into the Game of Thrones problem where the TV show goes beyond the source material.

He followed up on his exciting comments in an interview with IGN in February 2023, in which he pledged to only make a third installment if they were able to pinpoint a “really good, compelling story.”

As of December 2023, Tommy Miller voice actor Jeffrey Pearce spoke to Dexerto about the possibility of a third game: “At this point, it’s not something that has been started in any way, at least, not that I know of, and I would hate to hate that.” I set myself up to expect what it’s going to be like, and then make it something completely different.

Does The Last of Us Part III have a release date?

Since the game was not in development as of Spring 2021, and does not appear to be currently in development, any release would still be a few years away.

The original game was released in 2013, and its sequel was announced in 2016 and released in 2020 (after several major delays). So, even an official announcement seems a bit far away.

After a lot of rumors and speculation A remake of the original Last of Us has been officially announced by Naughty Dog at Summer Games Fest. The new version, titled The Last of Us Part 1, was launched exclusively for PlayStation 5 on September 2, 2022.

The Last of Us Factions standalone game

Alongside the remake of The Last of Us Part 1, Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog and creative director of TLOU, revealed that the studio is developing a standalone multiplayer game set in the world of The Last of Us.

What started as an enhanced version of Factions – which was scheduled to launch with The Last of Us Part 2 – quickly evolved into a more ambitious project and is now set to be Naughty Dog’s first standalone multiplayer experience. According to Druckmann, [The team] “We really wanted to do something beyond what we did at Naughty Dog. This game is big. It’s as big as any of our solo games we’ve done and it’s bigger in some ways.”

Although details are scarce at the moment, Druckmann confirmed that fans will hear a lot more about the project in 2023, and an official piece of art has been revealed.

First look at the new standalone multiplayer game The Last of Us.

Finally, an IP codenamed “Stray’s Cross” is believed to be in development from the studio – a new adventure game whose details are just as sparse as The Last of Us 3.

The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered

In November 2023, it was confirmed that a remaster of The Last of Us Part 2 would be released in January 2024 on PS5. The remaster offers enhanced features for the PS5, such as improved graphics, faster loading times, and DualSense support.

The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered also features a survival mode called No Return, where you play as a select number of characters from the game and try to survive against hordes of infected for as long as possible, eventually culminating in a boss fight. .

The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered will be released on PS5 on January 19, 2024.
