PS5 bundles are looking pretty good right now. Following last month’s Black Friday sales, we’re now seeing plenty of PS5 Slim bundles on shelves across the US and UK. The value is a little higher in the US at the moment, where both Spider-Man 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 are still available for free with the new console. However, the UK is still enjoying free games in its PS5 deals.
However, the older device looks a little worse for wear. With new Slim stock set to replace the larger PS5 consoles when they leave the arcades, things are looking scarce at the moment. You’ll likely find the consoles on their own on shelves (although at full price now that November’s PS5 deals have ended), but we wouldn’t count on them to stick around for much longer.
We’ve been scouring the web for the highest value PS5 bundles and bringing you all our favorites here. Whether you’re looking for sales on games or want to get some of the best PS5 accessories to go with your new console, you’ve come to the right place. Not only do these bundles make great gifts for gamers (very lucky gamers), but they can also save you extra money on games and accessories as well.

The best PS5 deals available now
If you don’t have a specific game in mind when you make your first purchase, it’s worth taking a look at the latest PS5 offerings on standalone consoles. These are rare, but we’ve seen the standard version suffer a few price drops here and there – especially in the UK. However, the digital version is a little slower to catch up. Below you’ll find the latest PS5 offers on the web, with a price crawler showing all of your favorite retailer’s biggest offers every half hour.

Should you buy the PS5 Digital Edition?
Simply put, the PS5 Digital Edition lacks a disc drive and is Cheaper than the regular full-fat version. In fact, it’s $100/£90 less expensive. While this is not a devastating opponent, it is identical.
Unlike the entry-level Xbox Series As far as we can tell, there haven’t been any cuts regarding the initial specifications. This means it can handle every next-gen 4K game with all the associated benefits. Essentially, you’ll get the same console without the ability to play actual discs.
However, as with the current-gen Xbox One S All-Digital, we can’t see this digital alternative being a decent option. PSN games in most regions cost a lot more than their physical counterparts (obscenely so in the UK), and prices take much longer to come down. Not to mention the fact that you’re walking away from used games, old DVDs, and 4K Blu-ray discs.
However, even though the all-new and revamped PS Plus service and tiers come close to being a worthy competitor to Xbox Game Pass, we still recommend sticking with the standard PS5 if possible. It leaves you more flexibility.
PS5 | DualSense Controller | £499 at EE You can get a PS5 controller and an additional DualSense controller for just £499 at EE now. This gets you the gamepad for just £20 on top of the £479.99 controller. Considering we’ve never seen DualSense controllers this cheap before, that’s a win.
Hoping for a slightly lower price for the PS5? We (and our bank balances) hear you. However, it’s actually a fair value when you break it all down. If we were to build a PS5 from components currently on the market, it would be a lot; a lot More expensive.
Let’s take a look at the GPU first. Right now, you’ll be staring down the barrel of an equivalent RTX 2080 graphics card (i.e., the best graphics cards) to handle ray tracing at any kind of decent frame rate or resolution. To produce 4K ray tracing — even before we get to the 8K promised by Sony — you’ll need a powerful chip like the Radeon VII, or whatever the Navi equivalent is inside the PS5. Want to hit 30fps and medium-high settings? You’ll be looking at $800/£600+ minimum.
Now, onto the SSD. If you go bargain hunting at the moment, you’ll be paying $350/£300 for a 1TB NVMe SSD from the likes of Samsung. Yes, you can go cheaper, but Sony claims the PS5’s SSD will outperform all current PC SSDs. As such, $350 / £300 or more is reasonable.
With that in mind, we’re really looking at a $1000/£1000+ build. And that’s before you take the other parts into account. We’re assuming a minimum of 32GB of RAM, a Ryzen 7-equivalent CPU with 8 cores (which we know of), and all the cooling, power, wireless technology, and enclosure required to keep everything together. That’s another $500-$800/£400-£700 at least.
Then there’s the DualSense controller. It has haptic feedback that will replace the traditional vibrations we’ve had for a long time, increasing immersion in games literally through touch and feel. The adaptive triggers will also strive to offer different resistance depending on what you’re doing in-game, such as drawing a bow or driving over gravel. This is bound to increase the price of the PS5.
This does not mean PS5 He should It costs more than $1000/£1000 though. Given the strides in GPU development and the inevitable cost-cutting arranged by Sony, the PS5 is quite a bit cheaper than that. Additionally, the cost of future models will continue to decline as the company discovers manufacturing tricks to lower the production price.
