College Faculty: Monday, January 8 – March 11, 5-7pm Enjoy the endless creative possibilities of collage photography. This course will cover techniques for selecting a subject, incorporating a variety of materials, and customizing images. We will learn about the adhesives, surfaces, and combinations of drawing and painting materials used in collage. $125

Community choir: Monday, January 8 – March 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. Every voice matters in this segment of society. Share and harmonize with your peers as you expand and develop your vocal range. Dance Fitness with Leah: Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 9-February 8 and February 20-March 21, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Dance fitness is more than just exercise, it’s therapy, escape and empowerment at its best! The goal is to get you out of your comfort zone, increase your intensity, and get your body moving. Dance fitness is easy to follow and pair with strength training and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) to give you a fun workout! $68

Informant testimony: Learn professional marking techniques and proper work zone preparation in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Washington Amendments to MUTCD, L&I WAC 296-155-305, and WSDOT State Standard Specifications. Upon successful completion, receive Flagger Cards issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), valid for three years. Fees include textbooks and ID cards. One-day course, 8 hours. $100 dollars

Homeschool Nuts and Bolts: January 30 – February 1, 6-9 p.m., online. This course will provide resources that can save money for your child’s effective education by recognizing your child’s uniqueness and learning style to develop lifelong skills and a love of learning. Successful completion of this class also meets Washington State legal requirements as a “qualifying course” for parents who choose to homeschool their children. Jazz band: Tuesday, January 3 – March 18, 7-9pm Non-credit section for community members. Preparing and performing literature from the jazz language appropriate for small and large jazz ensembles for required concerts on and off campus. Jazz literature from the swing era to the present will include bebop, rock, funk, fusion, and blues. Prior knowledge of jazz improvisation is not required. Open to trumpet and trombone players and all saxophone, drum, bass and guitar players with strong musical skills and good music reading abilities. Prerequisite: Testing or approval by instructor. Pilates mat: Mondays and Wednesdays, January 8 – February 12 and February 21 – March 25, 5:30pm – 6:30pm, online. The class will consist of a series of exercises from within the Pilates method specifically designed to be performed on the mat. Benefits of Pilates exercises can include improved flexibility, muscle strength, body balance, spinal support, lower back health, athletic performance, and body-mind awareness. Suitable for all levels, but students must be able to perform the exercises on the floor using a mat. Prior to the start date, the instructor will email a Zoom invitation to registered students to join the course. $65.

Metal art: Fridays, January 12 – March 1, 4:30-7:30pm Discover the amazing world of metal art. Great for the beginner, hobbyist, or advanced manufacturer. Get creative by cutting and welding to create cool things like yard art, sculptures, or even build your own useful little projects. No welding experience needed. The coach will teach you everything you need to know to achieve your own ideas safely and successfully. Students are asked to provide their own tools, metals, and ideas for your projects. $175.

Mixed media drawing: Thursday, January 11 – February 29, 5-7pm Explore drawing with a variety of materials, from pens to watercolor pencils, and surfaces, from paper to glass, to create products such as gift boxes and greeting cards. $125

NIA Functional Fitness: Mondays and Thursdays, January 8 – February 1, February 5 – February 29 and March 4 – March 28, 7-8pm NIA is a form of fusion fitness that combines classic movement forms that include martial arts, healing arts and yoga. And dance arts. Suitable for all ages. NIA is an exercise, exercise and lifestyle that promotes vitality and well-being. $65

Drawing techniques: Wednesday, January 10 – February 28, 5-7pm Master the art of drawing. We will take your drawing from palette planning to finished works by examining tools, material handling, color mixing and traditional techniques. $125.

Parent-Adolescent Chemistry Lab: Wednesday, January 10 – February 14, 6-8pm Learn the molecular concepts of chemistry and use modern equipment to understand and analyze chemical behavior. Starting with the chemicals we smell and eat in our normal lives; We will investigate the molecular structure and properties of those chemicals. Our only requirement is curiosity and the desire to learn something new. For students in grades six to nine and their parents. $100 dollars

Broadcasting 101: Saturdays, February 10 – February 24, 10 a.m. to noon, online. Learn podcasting from an award-winning podcaster by learning about the background of podcasting, trends in the industry, and discussing why you should or shouldn’t produce a podcast. Each class will feature a guest speaker with real-life podcasting experience. $109

Professional professional relationships: Online course using Canvas. Examines the legal and regulatory frameworks for practical nursing and presents concepts of effective communication in health care settings between employees and employers. Explores conflict resolution strategies, teamwork, professional boundaries, stress management, chain of command, and professional competence as they relate to the role and scope of the licensed practical nurse. The class meets Washington State requirements for professional relations content for persons applying to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State. Advance registration is required. $150.

sewing: Monday, January 29 – February 26 or March 4 – March 25, 10am – Noon or 6-8pm Join this class for both beginners and intermediate students to learn the ins and outs of your sewing machine, improve existing skills, and benefit from personal guidance. $65

Spanish: Thursday, January 11 – March 14, 6-8 p.m., online. Study basic pronunciation and grammatical structure in an interactive and nurturing environment. Recommended for people who have never spoken Spanish. Required book: “Spanish in 10 Minutes a Day” (ISBN: 978-1931873307). $259
