Related: Does Mirabelle have to speak Spanish? The guest explodes after meeting the character “Encanto” at Disney
We recently shared a post from a TikTok user complaining about Mirabel’s inability to carry on a full conversation in Spanish. However, in new viral footage, the opposite interaction appears to have occurred when one guest verbally assaulted another in a Disney bathroom for speaking Spanish.

The filming guest verbally defends herself, as well as her right to speak Spanish at Disney, stating that “it’s not her fault that the other guest isn’t bilingual.” By claiming that the incident occurred after the guest was speaking Spanish with his child, the idea of someone harassing the guest over his choice of language seems strange and sad.
Walt Disney World Resort remains one of the most popular international travel destinations in the world. It’s not uncommon to hear a lot of different languages while touring its four theme parks. What’s more, Florida boasts one of the highest Latino communities in the United States, and Hispanic Americans represent a growing population in the country.
Assuming someone is not American because they speak a different language is bad enough. However, ruining a vacation in which they look forward to great food, rides, and meeting their beloved Disney characters because of their language is a very bad idea.
Although we can only glean some of what happened from the provided video, the idea is sad, and we hope that guests can defuse the situation and go back to having the most magical time.
