In fact, the regular season game officially broke the world attendance record at any Women’s sporting event, exceeding the attendance of 91,648 people for the 2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League match between Barcelona and Wolfsburg at Camp Nou. On Thursday, December 14, 2023, the national semifinal game between Nebraska-Pitt and Wisconsin-Texas at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, broke the indoor record at 19,598. Then the record fell once again During the National Championship on Sunday, December 17, 2023, 19,727 people attended to watch Texas sweep Nebraska.
